Full-Time Family Practice Physician

Morrow County Health District, a community focused health care provider, is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join its organization.  The Physician’s principal responsibilities will be primary care clinic services at Pioneer Memorial Clinic in Heppner with scheduled Emergency Room call and inpatient coverage at Pioneer Memorial Hospital.  Emergency Room and inpatient coverage may be taken from home and would be equally shared by three other providers.  Deliveries are not performed at Pioneer Memorial Hospital so OB skills are not required for this position.  Minor procedures may be performed at Pioneer Memorial Hospital or Pioneer Memorial Clinic, depending on the provider’s preference, expertise and comfort level.

Pioneer Memorial Clinic is a certified Rural Health Clinic/Patient Centered Primary Care Home and is NHSC certified for its loan repayment program.  Provider schedule allows for quality time to spend with each patient.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (2 Open Positions)

Morrow County Health District, a community focused health care provider, is seeking two mid-level providers – either nurse practitioners or physician assistants – for full-time positions at Pioneer Memorial Clinic in Heppner, (rural northeast) Oregon.  The clinic is a certified Rural Health Clinic and Tier III Patient Centered Primary Care Home and is certified for NHSC loan repayment with a HPSA score of 12.  Schedule is Monday thru Friday with no call obligation.

The clinic has been recently renovated and is located on the same campus as a 21-bed Critical Access Hospital with long-term swing bed program, cardiac care unit and Level IV trauma center, allowing providers to follow their patients during hospital stays.  The Clinic and hospital have integrated EMR, and a new telehealth unit has just been installed in the clinic.

Compensation includes an excellent starting wage dependent upon experience, and a generous benefits package, including paid family medical and dental insurance, life, accidental death and dismemberment, long term disability, employee assistance program, District paid 401(a) retirement and voluntary 457 and 403(b) retirement plans (helpful for tax planning), paid holidays, paid vacation and sick, CME allowance, air and ground ambulance family membership, sign on bonus and moving allowance.
