Pioneer Memorial Hospital
Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Nursing Facility is a 21-bed hospital able to provide a wide range of services.
The hospital opened in 1950 and has undergone various renovations over the years. Pioneer Memorial Hospital has an active medical staff of four physicians, and one physician’s assistant. Ancillary services include home health, hospice, physical therapy, radiology, and laboratory. Radiology services include x-ray, CT, ultrasound, DEXA scan for bone density testing, and mobile mammography and MRI. Our laboratory is licensed to perform a wide variety of on-site testing.
The hospital’s emergency department maintains an Oregon Trauma Level IV designation. All registered nurses working in the emergency department are certified in trauma care, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric life support.

Pioneer Memorial Hospital Extended Care Program
Through our non-skilled swing bed program, Morrow County Health District is pleased to offer 24-hour nursing care to chronically ill and recovering residents. We meet the unique needs of residents, address family concerns, and help residents with their day-to-day care. We respect the dignity of each individual to provide a safe, comfortable living environment. There is no limit to how long a qualifying individual may stay in our Extended Care program.
Located in the hospital, the recently remodeled Extended Care area provides a high level of medical care. A physician supervises each patient’s care and skilled nursing care is available at all times. Our team of experienced professionals includes:
- Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses
- Certified Medication Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants
- Licensed Therapists and Therapy Assistants
Our variety of services helps meet both the medical and non-medical needs of people with a chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods of time. Pioneer Memorial Nursing Facility offers:
